Recruitment and Organising
UNISON made a commitment to resource and develop its organising
agenda. Branches will be encouraged to incorporate recruitment into
all their activities and maximise their opportunities to recruit
new staff members, and build upon their existing stewardship.
It is true that one of the most effective recruitment tools is
live and relevant campaigning, but that does in itself have implications
for retention and there is a definite need to offer an organising
structure and resource that supports ongoing recruitment.
