Agreement has been reached in negotiations on revised pay figures for local government employees (formerly APT & C and Manual Workers) covering the period 2006-2008 and details of the pay increase and increases in allowances are set out in Appendices 1 to 3. 2. The pay increases are shown as revisions to the current spinal column for former APT & C employees and the current weekly rate of pay for former Manual Workers Grades 1 to 8 and Forepersons. The weekly rate of pay for Manual Workers Grades 1 to 8 has been calculated by dividing spinal column points 3-10 respectively of the APT & C spinal column by 52.14. 3. Agreement has now been reached to increase the 2005 spinal column rates by 2.5% from 1 April 2006 and 1 April 2007 respectively and details are attached in the appendix to this circular.
