Zero tolerance of violence at work

UNISON will campaign for zero tolerace of violence at work for all public service workers and will push for legislation and guidance to prevent the abuse of these staff.

Margo Cranmer, Lanarkshire Health, warned Conference there is a long way to go to convince the general public and even our own members that it is wrong to abuse public service workers.

She said "UNISON must remain at the forefront of the campaign for every member of staff to be protected under the law in the way that emergecy workers are now. No member of staff deserves to be abused."
