Glasgow sleepover petition launched

The Voluntary Sector Division of the Greater Glasgow & Clyde Branch have launched a petition calling on Glasgow City Council and voluntary organisations to work between them to ensure that sleepovers are paid at least at the National Minimum Wage.

The NMW rises to £5.73 from 1st October 2008 which would make the rate for an 8 hour sleepover £45.84, significantly above what the vast majority of members currently get.
