Although it does not have a UNISON Service Group, there is a Voluntary and Community Sector Committee at Scottish and UK level, recognising the important role of members who work for projects that have Local Government and Health Service links. Voluntary Sector Events

UNISON at The Gathering

UNISON Scotland will have a stall at the Scottish Council on Voluntary Organisations  Gathering in the SECC Glasgow from 24 to 26 May 2007. This is the biggest event for voluntary organisations and their staff in Scotland.

CIVICUS, which runs in conjunction with the gathering, will bring representatives from the voluntary sector across the world to Glasgow to meet up, network and exchange ideas. We want to get across that treating staff fairly is the hallmark of a good voluntary organisation.
