Members Information

To all retired members who read the Retired Members information on the UNISON Website.

I live in Dundee and am aware that some of the information will only cover the Tayside area, or will be local numbers.

However practically all of the numbers, email addresses, and Internet addresses, deal nationally, and will be the same contact point no matter where you live in Scotland.

Also if they do not deal with your particular area, then they are bound to know which contacts you require.

So if you see a particular article that you wish to find out about, but it is a Dundee telephone code, it might be worthwhile to give them a call, and they could point you in the right direction.

Frizzell Insurance for UNISON members

I received this information through the post from UNISON about an insurance company called FRIZZELL, which I thought might be of interest to you.

If you are a UNISON member then you qualify for discounted motor insurance.

The letter states: Our big voice brings you discounted quotes.

Your claim discount could be up to 75%, when you have earned at least 5 years no claim discount.

Now I don't drive, but if you do, it might be worth your while to enquire. That doesn't cost anything.

For discounted motor insurance call free on: 0800 272 355

Textphone: 0800 169 3390

Buy online at: www.frizzell.co.uk/unison

Friendly UK-based call centre - lines are open 8am - 8pm, Monday to Friday, and 8am - 4pm on Saturday.

‘Retired Dundee'

I picked up a magazine when I was at the AGM called Retired Dundee.

It's a local magazine for the over 50's and provides lots of local information.

If you're interested you'll get a copy on the top floor of the Wellgate Centre, opposite the Weavers Café. It'll be in one of the racks that are there.

It says inside my copy that you can get it delivered if you want. So if you like it then you won't have to keep trailing back to the centre to get it. I think I read it comes out every six months.
