‘Pathways into UNISON’ 21-22 March Glasgow
A free pilot course for migrant workers developed by the Learning
and Organising Service (LAOS) and the Migrants Workers’ Unit of
UNISON.
The aim of the course is encourage and support migrant workers
to become more active in the union. The course will cover the
following topics:
- Campaigning,
- Representation and Organising
- How to become more involved in the union
- Union structures
- Handling issues in the workplace
- Action planning
This is a 2 day residential course which will be held in the
regions where you are based. Travel expenses will be provided
for all participants. Financial help with paying for dependents
and childcare costs will also be considered, up to a certain limit.
