Scottish Communications Awards 2006
UNISON Scotland has invited branches and self organised
groups to submit entries for
- the best publication,
- the best use of electronic media and
- the best campaign.
There will also be merit awards for entries which
deserve special mention.
Winners will be presented with a cash prize and certificate
at December's Scottish Council and will be able to
incorporate the competition symbol in their future
publications.
The competition will be judged by communication stalwarts
Chris Bartter, Communications Officer and John Stevenson,
Chair of the Campaigns and Communications Committee,
along with Jane Carolan, Scottish NEC member. All
entrants are promised a helpful critique.
"We know that there are many excellent publications
and websites out there in branches and self organised
groups and that a great deal of campaigning work goes
on day in, day out. We think it is important to recognise
and reward this, and that is why we are delighted
to see the Awards reborn!" said Chris Bartter, speaking
on behalf of the Communications and Campaigns.
Entries must be submitted by 3 November 2006.
